The Airbus VEGA-C Multi-Functional Unit (MFU) is designed for versatile and cost effective space launch vehicles. One of its key features is to distribute the electrical power to most of the launchers avionic equipment and manage up to 10-channel MIL-STD-1553B buses through its bus repeater function. It has a power distribution capability of up to 3.3 kW. The MFU also includes all the barriers that prevent the occurrence of failures leading to catastrophic and severe consequences.
