Summary

The EnduroSat X-band 2x2 Patch Array Antenna is a high gain, right-hand circularly polarized patch antenna. It utilizes four patches to shape the beam resulting in an increased gain in comparison with an individual patch. Its low mass and form-factor allow easy mounting on any side of different CubeSat structures.

Key features

  • Half Power Beam Width (HPBW) - 40 deg

Flight heritage

The EnduroSat X-band 2x2 Patch Array Antenna has achieved flight heritage.

Testing & qualification

A full campaign of tests at qualification level has been performed on a qualification engineering model: qualification tests, level and duration tests were performed following the ESA standard ECSS-E-ST-10-03C and GEVS standard GSFC-STD-7000A. Tests include: random vibration, sinusoidal vibration, pyroshock test, thermal cycling and thermal vacuum.
