The EWC27 series of X-band transmitters are the miniaturized versions of Syrlinks' EWC28 series products. The systems deliver up to 140 Mbps (optional) and are highly flexible with multiple options for transmission capacity in the X-band (8GHz – EO & DS). The EWC27 transmitters feature smart power amplifier control in order to boost efficiency for each RF power level, permitting extremely low power consumption. Their design and qualification were carried out in collaboration with CNES and ESA, and have an estimated lifetime in LEO of 2 years minimum. The CCSDS-compliant transmitters achieved TRL 9 in the GOM-X mission in 2015 and more than 50 units have since been commissioned (particularly thanks to smart protection against latch-up).
