The Tensor Tech Attitude Control Calibration & Experiment Platform is a simulation platform that provides a zero-gravity environment on earth for attitude control experiments and to test satellites' attitude control systems.

Three space environmental conditions are simulated; ‘Sunlight’, ‘Earth’s magnetic field’, and ‘near-frictionless 3 degrees of freedom rotation.’

Because the sunlight spectrum above the Earth’s atmosphere is different from sunlight on the ground the solar simulator is equipped adjustable jigs. A 3-axis Helmholtz Cage is provided for cancelling out the local magnetic field and simulating the magnetic field of the targeted orbit.

The system can be used for magnetometer calibration or for testing the performance of magnetorquers.

The spherical air bearing platform provides a nearly frictionless environment for testing attitude actuators, and an onboard processor and gyroscope measure the real-time attitude of the platform for validating the performance of an ADCS.
