Summary
porkchop M is multi-purpose, reusable in-space logistics vehicle service suitable for deploying payload in designated orbit.
The system consists of a resuable mothership and an expendable daughtership. The daughtership hosts the payload while the mothership awaits in a parking orbit. The mothership attaches to the daughtership and deploys the payload one after another in their designated orbits. Once the deployment of all the payloads are completed, the daughtership deorbits and the mothership awaits in-orbit to repeat the same cycle.
Applications
- Reduces the time taken to reach the target orbit
- Reduces the cost of deploying the constellation compared to using expendable OTV/space tugs
- Performs lifetime extension services to compatible satellites, such as altitude raising.
- Inspects the satellite and performs other proximity operations services
