The Airbus PureLine Amethyst is a compact and lightweight on-board computer designed for low earth orbit (LEO) missions. Some of it's key features include interface to attitude and orbit control system (AOCS) for sensors, actuators, magnetorquers, and solar array step motors as well as software time and space partitioning capability. Amethyst is designed for critical applications associated with an innovative software architecture, allowing complete avionic processing to be performed in a single chip. The product weighs 3.5 kgs and has power consumption rate between 20 and 50 Watts.
