Key highlights
DARA OBC is Alén Space’s flight-proven on-board computer, designed for low power consumption and high performance in LEO nanosatellites and microsatellites. It offers exceptional versatility to support the demands of any mission. Designed with a high clock frequency Cortex-M7 microcontroller, it includes various types of memories, providing massive storage with 2 microSD slots of up to 64GB each.
With a PC-104 form factor, DARA OBC also provides different types of sensors to monitor the satellite's status: voltage, current, temperature sensors and an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). Besides, it offers several peripherals such as I2C and PWM, that allow the developer to monitor and control diverse satellite subsystems such as solar panels or 3-axis magnetorquers.
DARA OBC enables the implementation of custom On-Board Software for each mission, with its robust Software Development Kit based on FreeRTOS, including drivers and support for CubeSat Space Protocol.
