Key highlights

The Apogeo Space Modular CubeSat Solar Panels are a scalable power-generation family engineered to deliver reliable power from the moment of deployment, across platforms ranging from 1U CubeSats up to 16U satellites. Built around high-efficiency triple-junction UTJ solar cells, they maximize energy output while keeping mass to a minimum. The family is available in both body-mounted and deployable configurations (X/Y/Z axes) and offers far more than power alone: an integrated sensor package, including digital temperature sensors, a coarse Sun sensor and an optional 9-DOF IMU, supports attitude determination and thermal monitoring without additional hardware, while an optional embedded magnetorquer (the “-M” configurations) enables magnetic attitude actuation. With two parallel power connectors, a Molex Picoblade 1.25 mm connectorised harness for straightforward integration, and support for custom panel shapes, cut-outs and tailored electrical performance, the panels adapt to virtually any small-satellite mission.

Applications

  • Primary power generation for CubeSats and small-satellite platforms (1U to 16U)
  • Body-mounted panels for spacecraft external faces
  • Missions requiring integrated attitude sensing via onboard IMU
  • Missions requiring magnetic attitude actuation via embedded magnetorquer
  • Missions needing custom panel shapes, cut-outs or tailored electrical performance
