Key highlights
The Auria CPAW couples high fidelity spacecraft modeling with AI scheduling algorithms and a multi-factor figure of merit to generate optimized collection plans.
Applications
CPAW is focused on generating optimized collection plans for imaging and remote sensing satellites, including the ability to generate optimized constellation plans for large heterogeneous satellite constellations. CPAW can be used for analsys and operations.
Key features
CPAW provides an operational-fidelity collection planning solution that can be quickly configured for new missions. The architecture provides plug-in points for agility models and imaging mode models, and supports power modeling , recorder management, and downlink planning. CPAW provides single satellite and constellation plan optimization capabilities. CPAW's algorithms generate deconflicted and optimized collection plans and related downlink plans within system limitations and constraints.
Customization
CPAW is customized by defining satellites and their orbits and sensor capabilities, and by plugging in agility and sensor mode models through a defined model plugin interface. Sample parameterized models are provided and can be modified to adapt to mission requirements. Operational-fidelity plugin models are generally developed based on Matlab or similar simulation code from the spacecraft and/or sensor manufacturer. Auria can provide engineering services to configure CPAW for a program, or can support customer engineers in this process. CPAW's comprehenive API can be leveraged to automate and integrate CPAW into the overall ground system architecture.

Manufacturing
CPAW is maintained and enhanced through an agile software development process with 2-week sprints and a quarterly product release schedule. New product features and enhancements are primarily driven by customer requests, security posture requirements, and evolving deployment environments.
Export control
CPAW export is controlled through the US Department of Commerce. And export license typically takes about 3 months to get approved.
If CPAW is being used to model and plan a sensor on the US Munitions List (USML), then CPAW becomes ITAR-controlled and export is down through the US De[artment of State with a Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA). A TAA usually takes 3 months to get approved.
