Key highlights

Astro Scheduler is a space system scheduling tool with flexible resource, task, and constraint definitions and algorithms to generate optimized schedules for operations or analysis.  Any type of task (activity to be scheduled) or resource can be defined and tracked.  Physical constraints can be applied to any task or resource, and if used with STK from Ansys, anything that can be computed by STK can be applied as a constraint without writing any new code.  Astro Scheduler can also be deployed without STK and externally-computed constraints can be applied.  Astro Scheduler can be deployed to the cloud and can be deployed in Linux or Windows containers.  Astro Scheduler supports multiple users simultaneously with configurable role-based permissions.

Applications

Astro Scheduler can be used for satellite communications scheduling, ground resource scheduling, and satellite mission and housekeeping operations scheduling for any number of satellites and ground resources.  Astro Scheduler can also be configured to schedule, deconflict, and optimize scheduling for any resource-constrained activity scheduling challenge.

Customization

Customers can easily configure their resources and tasks and product algorithms to support their mission scheduling requirements.  Auria is available to answer questions and provide support as needed, typically covered by product maintenance fees.  Additional Auria engineering services are available if needed.

Flight heritage

Hundreds of operational licenses deployed since 2001.  Some recent programs include Landsat 8/9, NOAA EASI, BridgeComm, CYGNSS, Hawkeye360, JPSS, and NOAA SARSAT, plus several U.S. government programs.

Manufacturing

Astro Scheduler is maintained and enhanced through an agile software development process with 2-week sprints and a quarterly product release schedule.  New product features and enhancements are primarily driven by customer requests, security posture requirements, and evolving deployment environments.

Export control

Astro Scheduler is classified as an EAR99 item and does not generaly require a license to export.

Distributors

Ansys, LSAS

Customers

Astro Scheduler (formerly STK Scheduler) has been deployed operationally for hundreds of customers around the world since its initial release in 2001.  Customers include government military and intelligence agencies, government civil space organizations, and commercial companies all around the world.  Astro Scheduler is the industry standard for scheduling and mission management software for satellites and space-related ground systems.
