Key highlights
- Communication mode: CAN communication
- Non-conductive slip ring, high reliability
- Hollow shaft design
The solar panel drive device (SADA) is an executing component of the satellite control system, which can drive the solar panel of the satellite to face the sun without adjusting the attitude of the satellite body, so that the solar panel can have the maximum power generation, thereby enabling the satellite to obtain more energy and ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the in-orbit mission. At the same time, the SADA is also a channel for exchanging energy and signals between the satellite and the solar panels. The power transmission cables and signal lines of the solar panels need to pass through the SADA.
Applications
- Can be applied in the orbit below GEO

Flight heritage
The first generation of this series has been verified in orbit in 2021.
Manufacturing
Pioneer Satellite has constructed China's first smart automated production line for satellite core components, with an annual output of 200 sets of satellite core components. The production line has successfully mass-produced solar arrays, elevating the product yield from 70% to over 98%. It also makes the production cycle 50% shorter, cuts the cost to 30% and enables a two-thirds reduction in lead time compared to traditional modes compared to traditional methods.
Export control
The SADA products are sold globally.
