Summary

The Cubecom XPLANT X-band Payload Antenna is a wideband, circularly polarized X-band antenna designed for maritime radar applications.

The antenna is designed operate with an axial ratio below 6 dB over the band, a beamwidth between 60° to 80°, and a 12% bandwith operating from 8.5-9.6 GHz.

The XPLANT includes an integrated radome to protect against corrosion and the only RF interface included is a single SMP connector.

The system has also been designed with a low profile, with a height of 5mm, to enable mounting to the exterior of a nanosatellite structure without interfering with the launch pod.
