Key highlights
EnduroSat's 16U CubeSat is a flight-proven nanosatellite platform for advanced missions in low Earth orbit. With class-leading internal volume — 10.3U available to the customer and a payload envelope of 218 x 218 x 254 mm — the CubeSat platform accommodates instruments that would normally push designers toward larger satellite buses, while keeping bus mass between 11.2 and 11.7 kg and leaving 24.0–24.5 kg of payload mass capacity.
The platform is built around robust payload data handling: an embedded operational-modes framework manages diverse payloads, standard control interfaces span CAN FD, RS-422, RS-485, SPI and UART, and the gross payload downlink reaches up to 1 Gbps over high-speed X-band and K-band links, with secure S-band TMTC at up to 125 kbps full duplex. Average payload power of 25–60 W (configuration dependent) supports power-hungry Earth observation and communications payloads across a mission life of up to five years, orbit dependent.
Each 16U satellite bus ships as a complete mission-ready package: integration manual, software development kit, a one-year SpaceDev subscription for development and testing, the full bus cable set, debugging harnesses and ten hours of engineering support are all included. An optional advanced three-axis reaction wheel attitude control system supports precision-pointing missions, and EnduroSat's end-to-end Space Service can place a customer payload in orbit within six months.
Applications
- Earth observation missions (optical and multispectral imaging)
- Communications and connectivity demonstrations in LEO
- Science and technology demonstration missions
- Multi-payload nanosatellite missions requiring high downlink capacity
- Constellation pathfinders ahead of larger platform deployment
