Key highlights

GUMUSH's Li-ion n-ART battery is a power supply unit for use on CubeSats, MicroSats, and other non-standard spacecrafts. n-ART BAT is used to store energy generated by solar panels and is converted into usable electrical energy by the power management unit. Stored energy is divided into main bus lines and is used to feed satellite subsystems when the satellite is unable to generate necessary energy during eclipse.

n-ART BAT has different options for Engineering and Flight Models. The unit can be customized depending of mission requirements (2S2P / 4S1P / 2S1P). Other configurations are available (up to 8 cells). The standard product provides 2S2P configuration (48 Wh) and 8.4 V terminal voltage at end of charge. Each cell is provided with a heater to prevent cold temperature (below -5°C) monitored by temperature sensors.

The battery cells are attached to a management board which is suitable for PC-104 form and covered with flexible heater board. Battery cells are fitted and screwed to the PCB to ensure mechanical and thermal stability using aluminium brackets.
