SelfieCam-Video is a small form factor, TRL 9, space asset monitoring camera with demonstrated flight heritage through numerous space missions. With it's small size, low power, and simple communciation interface, the camera can be easily integrated into spacecraft.

SelfieCam is ideal to get visual feedback on the status of your spacecraft while capturing "out-of-this-world" images for your media and marketing activities.

SelfieCam has demonstrated flight heritage since 2018 and provided self awareness capability for over 50 space missions, ranging from experimental cubesats and micro satellites to large constellations.

Camera can support up to 12FPS image capture and storage to on-board non-vollatile memory, and can support configurable resolution options up to 1024 x 768.

To assist the ease of integration, the following additional items will be provided with each camera order.

  • Debug cable which can be used to connect the camera to a PC for evaluation
  • Camera end terminated vacuum compatible harness for flight
  • Python example code to demonstrate the interfaces with camera
  • Unit level test reports
  • Interface Control Document
  • Command and Telemetry Handbook

Customization

SelfieCam can be customised to support 3 different lens options. Additionally, the camera form factor and firmware customisation can be provided at additional NRE costs.

Flight heritage

SelfieCam has demonstrated flight heritage since 2018 over many space missions. To date, SelfieCam units have demonstrated on-orbit life time of over two years in Low Earth Orbit. Please reach out to us for sample images captured using SelfieCam.
