The MDA Space VIRGO (Visual and IR Guidance Optics) is a multi-spectral camera solution designed for space applications. It combines two spectral bands - thermal infrared and visible - with complimentary sensitivities and capabilities, into a single architecture design.

VIRGO's modular system with flexibility helps to expand its functionality with the inclusion of additional visible sensors and lenses for wide-angle inspection and docking (< 10 m) or long-range (> 200 m).

The engineering model is in development and it is expected to achieve TRL6 by the end of 2023.
