Raptor Scientific's Gravity Wedge Blade Adapters are single-axis adapters for fir tree, round hole, and dovetail roots.

The systems are designed for repeatability, which is often better than 1 part in 100,00, and tare moment is not altered by insertion of the blade.

The adaptes feature a unique slanted aperture designed to guides the blade into position more easily. At the bottom of the adapter a wedge forces the blade forward which causes the lower surface to contact the adapter at the Z-plane and the gravity moment then rotates the blade downards so the upper surface of the Z-plane also contacts the precision interface surface..

The sytsems are made from hardened tool steel and there is no clamping knob to tighten, so the disturbing force to the scale is minimized and operator effort is reduced.
