Flight heritage

  • Standalone operations confirmed on the EMISAR 1U CubeSat (summer 2026)
  • Extensive ground qualification campaigns of OrbFIX products at different development milestones:
    • pre-EM qualification testing of critical components (including TID)
    • at EM level - mechanical,TVAC, high energy protons
    • 2x full QM level campaigns (CubeSat and Small Sat configurations independently):
      • Mechanical (random, sine, shock)
      • 4 x thermal vacuum cycling: Operational from -30 to +65 oC and storage from -40 to +80 oC
  • RF simulator for performance validation over a multitude of orbits and operational scenarios

Manufacturing

OrbFIX is manufactured, integrated and tested in Europe.
Besides internal qualification, user agreed qualification campaigns can be optionally performed.

Lead time is typically 4 - 8 weeks for a small number of units.

Testing & qualification

ECSS based qualification campaigns were performed at various development stages.

Export control

OrbFIX is a European product using European technologies and it is ITAR free.
OrbFIX is a dual-use item and end-use declaration of no military use and no export to sanction countries needs to be provided.
