Key highlights
Satelyx is a space mission integrator that validates hardware in orbit and turns it into deployable capability. We design validation missions around payload requirements, handling integration, operations, TRL progression, and mission data so engineering teams can stay focused on the technology itself.
Every successful validation adds to a growing catalog of flight-proven components, creating a path into future government and commercial deployments. Mission 0 is complete. Mission 0 is complete. Additional missions are in development, including our VLEO-1 scheduled for Q2/Q3 2027.
Applications
- Hardware companies needing orbital validation to achieve flight heritage
- Sensors, instruments, subsystems, and mission software requiring in-orbit demonstration or validation
- Teams developing Earth observation, communications, edge compute, propulsion, robotics, or other space technologies
- Companies that need mission integration rather than coordinating multiple vendors themselves
- Payload developers seeking TRL progression through IOD/IOV for commercial, government, or defense pathways
Key features
Full mission integration, not just a slot on a bus
We design missions around your payload requirements, including power, thermal, data, communications, operations, and validation objectives. Satelyx handles mission integration end to end so engineering teams can stay focused on the technology itself.
Mission matching and validation pathway design
Payloads are assigned to the mission profile that best fits their validation objectives, orbit requirements, interfaces, timeline, and TRL progression. Mission opportunities are handled case by case rather than forcing every payload into a single platform.
Payload isolation and TRL management
Each payload is independently verified against its own success criteria. We engineer for isolation so mixed-maturity payloads do not affect each other’s certification or readiness outcomes.
Flight-proven catalog
Capabilities validated through Mission 0 established the baseline for a growing catalog of flight-proven components and mission architectures. Successful validations create a path toward repeat missions, redeployment, and future government or commercial use.
Multiple mission opportunities
Satelyx is building a broader mission pipeline beyond a single flight opportunity. Current and planned missions support different validation pathways, including VLEO-focused missions and future multi-partner system demonstrations.
Customization
Mission parameters are configured around payload requirements, including mass allocation, power budget, mechanical mounting, electrical interface, data interface, orbit profile, pointing mode, interface requirements, and downlink planning. Payload support is assessed case by case during mission design.

Flight heritage
Mission 0 — Completed Q4 2024
Satelyx validated three core capabilities in orbit: Earth observation, AI Edge Compute, and Communications. These capabilities established the operational baseline for future validation missions. Mission 0 was a capability demonstration mission, not a multi-customer commercial flight.
Mission pipeline — In development
Satelyx is developing additional IOD/IOV missions to support future validation opportunities. VLEO-1 is scheduled for Q2/Q3 2027, with integration deadline Q3 2026. Additional mission concepts, including multi-partner validation campaigns, are in planning.
Manufacturing
Satelyx is a mission integrator, not a hardware manufacturer. Our platform is assembled from a combination of in-house developed systems and qualified partner subsystems. Integration, testing, and mission operations are handled internally by our engineering team. Platform selection and configuration are done on a per-mission basis to match payload requirements.
Testing & qualification
Satelyx designs missions with ECSS-aligned engineering and verification processes, and manages TRL progression for each partner payload independently. Each payload undergoes pre-flight interface verification and environmental testing prior to integration. Payload isolation is maintained throughout the mission to ensure that mixed-maturity payloads do not affect each other's certification outcomes.
Mission 0 (Q4 2024) validated EO, AI Edge Compute, and Communications capabilities in orbit. VLEO-1 platform is in development with integration deadline Q3 2026.

Export control
Satelyx is UK-headquartered and operates under UK export control regulations (Export Control Order 2008). Mission services are subject to review on a case-by-case basis depending on payload technology, customer jurisdiction, and applicable dual-use classifications. Payloads involving ITAR or EAR-controlled technologies must be disclosed during the mission design phase.
Prospective partners should contact [email protected] to discuss export control requirements relevant to their specific payload.
