iSIM-170 is the highest resolution optical payload of the iSIM family. It is an innovative and cost-effective instrument specifically designed for microsatellites, with flight heritage and proven sub-meter resolution.
The payload includes the optical front-end as well as state-of-the-art CMOS matrix detectors and an electronics subsystem for payload management and control.
With a total mass of 15kg, iSIM-170 can achieve sub-meter resolution from an altitude of 500 km. It covers the Visible & Near InfraRed (VNIR) spectral range, offering both panchromatic and multispectral capabilities according to the user's needs.
The optomechanics is configurable to provide single or dual channel, for more spectral bands and more swath.
The Super Resolution algorithm developed by SATLANTIS can improve the spatial resolution by a factor of at least 2.5 and match the GSD to the instrument's GRD.
