Key highlights

This system was developed for a power plant based on HALL Thrusters. The system has two completely independent channels, each is controlled by its own independent electronic control system. Each channel can supply up to 2 motors and 4 cathodes. This ensures complete redundancy of the propulsion system. However, the mode of simultaneous operation of all connected thrusters without redundancy can be selected. Launched to the space in 2015.

Characteristics

  • Deep redundancy both for electronics and feeding system was implemented.
  • System consisted of 4 independent Hall effect thrusters, each had 2 hollow cathode-neutralizers, one being redundant.
  • 2 independent Gas feed unit with 12 separate channels
  • Hot/cold redundancy or simultaneous operation can be selected.
