Key highlights
Terma's Radio Frequency Special Check-Out Equipment (RF SCOE) is a radio frequency satellite testing solution for ensuring the functionality and reliability of satellite radio communication subsystems.
Terma RF SCOE provides fully automated radio frequency testing and calibration across S-, X-, Ku-, and Ka-band measurements in the TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking, and Command) section of the satellite during assembly and space environment testing.
It extends the same precision to L-, S-, X-, Ku-, Ka-, and UHF-bands for the mission communication and payload sections.
Terma has a comprehensive portfolio of Terma’s own solutions (including Baseband TMTC Frontend and TMTC Crossbar, ProUST FE, and Internal Modular Power Distribution Unit) and selected third-party products, leveraging decades of experience.
Key features
- Proven and precise - it supports absolute power level measurements with an uncertainty of only 0.2 dB, gain vs. frequency with 0.3 dB, and group delay vs. frequency with 0.5 ns
- Easy integration and reliable performance - designed for seamless integration into existing testing infrastructures, RF SCOE uses proven generic and mission-independent components to minimize one-time investments and optimize delivery timelines. The included high-performance microwave coaxial cable assemblies are ruggedized for use outside thermal vacuum chambers, providing excellent amplitude and phase stability.
- User-friendly software - Terma RF SCOE features an intuitive software package that allows for remote control through the CCS and GUI. The software is designed to perform self-tests, calibration, and measurement functions, and generates comprehensive status and measurement reports.
This comprehensive approach ensures that satellites maintain peak communication capabilities, crucial for mission success and longevity in orbit.
Heritage
Terma `RF SCOE boasts a significant legacy, having supported space missions OneWeb, Galileo, Bepi Colombo, Plato, Euclid, ExoMars
