The product consists of a dual-string redundant design based on qualified components that provide superior reliability and fault tolerance. Pelican provides the capacity and performance of modern commercial SSDs with the reliability of legacy systems.

Zephyr's custom controller provides an opportunity to tune the performance to customer needs. The design can be optimized for specific workloads and special features such as cache prewarming are available. It also features a computational engine, providing the ability to process data on the device itself, reducing the workload on the host system.
