Xiphos has provided processing solutions for over 24 years for the International Space Station, nanosat, CubeSat, and lunar markets in the US, Canada and internationally. Xiphos provides processing products optimized for size, weight, and power, typically integrated into avionics for satellite and unmanned vehicles.
At the core of each processor is a hybrid environment of multi-core CPUs and reprogrammable logic, designed to provide enhanced flexibility and consistent, reliable performance. Industrial/automotive-grade components are used in a fault-tolerant architecture for use in space environments, providing robust operational performance at lower costs than traditional space-grade solutions.
Xiphos processors have been benchmarked favourably against GHz-class commercial processors using "hybridization" of software and logic implementations of computing-intensive algorithms.
Four generations of Xiphos products have been flying in space for over 18 years, with customers including most major defence firms and space agencies, numerous major satellite telecommunications and NewSpace companies, and a variety of national governments.
Xiphos core capabilities include:
- Hardware Development
- Firmware Development
- Software Hybridization
- Linux Driver/API & Application Software Development
