Key highlights

EXA’s space-grade silicon solar cells deliver exceptional performance and reliability, engineered from high-purity monocrystalline silicon wafers and enhanced with radiation-hardening processes. Leveraging advanced back-surface passivation and space-optimized encapsulation using interconnect plates and glass cover plates, these cells provide a robust and cost-effective solution for a wide range of missions.

Designed to operate in extreme orbital environments, EXA silicon cells maintain stable performance across a -120°C to +120°C working temperature range. Their thermal resilience is complemented by strong electrical characteristics, reaching ≥ 19% efficiency under AM0 at 25°C and a high fill factor of 79%. The temperature coefficients ensure predictable behavior under varying thermal loads, making them ideal for long-duration spacecraft operations.
