Key highlights
The deployable “Hinged Rib” Cassegrain antenna is designed for LEO to MEO/GEO inter satellite data relay applications in K and Ka-bands.
The antenna deploys a 600mm diameter metal-mesh parabolic surface, supported by ‘hinged ribs’, from a 2U stowed volume, compatible with cubesat platforms. The Engineering Model has been built and tested, with variants also under development for tailored applications.
The modular design of this hinged rib antenna enables the adaptation to various customer requirements and applications:
- K-Ka band real time data relay
- X-band communication
K-Ka band low SWaP (Size, Weight, Power) antenna for terrestrial Satcom applications for easy and rapid deployment.
Key features
- High RF performance
- Highly stowage-efficient
- Customizable RF and mechanical features: Frequency (X to Ka-band), applications, antenna architecture, antenna diameter (0.5 – 1.5+m)
