Customization

Camera cores are SWaP optimised, athermalised and ruggedised to withstand launch conditions and maintain optical performance while being exposed to the extreme operating conditions experienced in the space environment. Our in-depth knowledge and experience allow us to work with OEMs and integrators to offer unique custom design features that meet your imaging requirements. We offer flight-ready COTS options as well as custom OEM designs.

Flight heritage

Raptor now has over 85 cameras flying on the payloads of LEO CubeSats in LEO orbits. Some of our cameras have been operational for over 48 months. We offer LEO camera solutions from UV (180nm) to SWIR (1700nm).  We offer flight-ready COTS options as well as custom OEM designs in platforms from 1U to 10U.

Manufacturing

Raptor works very closely with its OEM customers to ensure manufacturing environment, processes and components are optimised for the customer's application. We design and manufacture all of our camera solutions from our state-of-the-art headquarters
in Larne, United Kingdom. Our 9,000 sq ft facility holds all our enhanced processes including our cleanroom and vacuum capabilities. Our manufacturing environment operates Kanban processes which enables short lead times and effective stock management. We welcome visits from OEM customers to see our facilities and meet our engineers.

Testing & qualification

Raptor cameras are designed to MilSpec to withstand harsh environments including temperature, pressure, shock and vibration. We have also tested our cameras for radiation tolerance. We are hapy to share this infomation under NDA.

Export control

Raptor cameras are under the export control of UK government and maybe subject to a single individual export licence before shipment. Please consult with us in advance.

Distributors

Raptor Photonics sells cameras globally around the world through a direct sales team adn a network of distributors. Please visit our website to find your sales point of contact.

Customers

Raptor Photonics has been designing and manufacturing cameras for customers around the world since 2008. We work closely with universities and research labs right though to Tier 1 OEMS, primes and systems integrators. It is custom to enter under NDAs with bigger customers which prevents us from sharing commercial information.
