Summary

The Zoppas Industries Polyimide-Acrylic Heating Element is designed for spacecraft, pressurized modules, launch vehicles, and ground-based antennas as per ESA's ESCC 4009/004 specification (qualified since 2015).

It is produced by an etching process delivering a thin and lightweight flexible heater, which provides significant tensile strength, tear resistance, and dimensional stability. Zoppas Industries utilizes its advanced technological expertise to provide double-sided heaters and also heating elements with a very high ohmic density.

The heater design can be fully customized with design options that other heater types cannot match or meet the particular mission demands. They consist of outline shapes, heat profiles, and terminations that can be fine-tuned to create the exact thermal and physical components to meet customer requirements.

According to the units’ final usage, moreover, Zoppas Industries provides the Polyimide-Acrylic heaters with 3 increasing levels of qualification Qualification Model (QM) Heater, Proto-Flight Model (PFM) Heater, ESCC Flight Model (FM) Heater to allow coverage of all possibilities from Institutional, Military or Commercial Programs, to more fast-paced and budget-minded applications on Cubesats, Nanosats or Constellations, or to Ground Testing facilities.
