The Zoppas Industries STOCK Polyimide Flexible Heating Element is designed for thermal applications in space. Besides the “made to spec” products, Zoppas Industries also provides a wide range of standard flexible heaters, available in our stock in different sizes and ohmic values, as commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions for commercial applications and testing equipment.

The flexible heating element consists of an etched foil resistive element laminated between two acrylic insulation layers, providing excellent tensile strength, tear resistance, and dimensional stability. With its thin design and construction, it can be easily applied without sacrificing efficiency or dependability.

Flexible heaters provide fast heat-up and cool-down rates, ensuring uniform heat distribution at various watt densities. Select from the standard products list in the datasheet the solution that will best fit for customer's particular application. If the size or shape of the heatsink precludes using a single standard heater, it can cover the surface with a mosaic configuration, connecting multiple heaters in parallel.

According to the units’ final usage, moreover, Zoppas Industries provides the stock heaters with 2 levels of qualification (Qualification Model - QM) Heater, ESCC Flight Model (FM) Heater), to allow coverage of all possibilities from Institutional, Military, or Commercial Programs, to more fast-paced and budget-minded applications on Cubesats, Nanosats or Constellations, or to Ground Testing facilities.
