It accommodates satellites of various sizes, from CubeSats to larger spacecraft. Born as a university project, during the years, SPiN's innovative approach earned multiple awards, including Best Business Solution at Startup Weekend Space (2015), the Space2Business competition (2022), and Space2Connect (2023). In 2022, SPiN launched SPiN-1, a CubeSat for orbit demonstration, with plans for another in 2025. In 2024, SPiN closed a €1.63 million seed funding round led by Galaxia, the Italian Technology Transfer Hub on Aerospace powered by CDP Venture Capital and Obloo Ventures, with participation from Scientifica Venture Capital and Innova Venture. Headquartered in Frascati, Rome, Italy, SPiN has offices in Germany, Luxemburg, UK and in the USA.
