Key highlights
Our flexible heaters for propulsion systems are a reliable choice for spacecraft applications.
These heaters are used across many components within the propulsion subsystem. Their purpose is to ensure proper fluidity of the propellant and manintain optimal operating conditions for the propulsion system.
Applications
Our flexible heaters are applicable to both chemical and electric propulsion systems, including:
- Traditional engines: These include conventional chemical propulsion systems that rely on the combustion of propellants, such as liquid or solid fuels, to generate thrust. They are commonly used for launch vehicles, orbital maneuvers, and attitude control in various types of spacecraft.
- Innovative, eco-friendly technologies like water-based engines: These refer to newer propulsion systems that use water—or water-derived substances like steam or electrolysis products (hydrogen and oxygen)—as a propellant. They are considered environmentally friendly due to the use of non-toxic, easily storable materials, and are gaining interest for small satellite missions and sustainable space travel.
Custom-shaped flexible heaters are also integrated into:
- Tanks
- Thrusters
- Valves
